Uversity’s Chief Executive Officer, Colleen Dube will be leaving on 5th November 2020 to become the Chief Executive Officer at the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA).

Speaking about her departure, Colleen commented, It has been a privilege to lead Uversity over the last five years and to collaborate on the creation and development of Uversity’s Higher Education Scholarships for Adult Learners.  Since the Scholarship Programme was launched in 2018, we have achieved a significant amount but most importantly Uversity is supporting 85 scholars who will be transformed and transformative as a result of their higher education experience.  I have no doubt that Uversity and its Scholars will go from strength to strength under Professor O’Connor and the Board’s guidance.

Professor Joyce O’Connor who was appointed a Director of Uversity’s Board and Chair in October 2020 noted, Colleen has made a major contribution to the development of Uversity. The Board would like to thank Colleen and acknowledge her commitment, expertise and creativity.  Her work has helped establish Uversity and prepare the organisation for the next phase of its development.  We wish Colleen every good luck and continued success in her new position as CEO of NALA.

Uversity’s Board have commenced the recruitment process for a new CEO.  In the meantime, the Board has put in place a number of measures to support Uversity’s existing scholars and to ensure the continuity and smooth transition of the scholarship programme until such time as an appointment is made.
