Uversity has been granted an income disregard for its Higher Education Scholarships for Adult Learners in the 2019/20 Student Grant Scheme Regulations and The Social Welfare (Consolidated Claims, Payments and Control) (Amendment) (No 8) (Assessment of Means) Regulations 2019 & Social Welfare (Consolidated Supplementary Welfare Allowance) (Amendment) (No. 4) (Assessment Of Means) Regulations 2019.

As a result of this income disregard, Uversity scholarships to a maximum value of €7,000 will not be considered reckonable income for means-tested social welfare benefits and Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) maintenance grants with effect from the 2019/20 academic year.
